Principal, The OB♦C Group, LLC Patricia A. Nelson joined the O’Brien♦Calio firm in 1993, one month after the firm opened its doors. While at the firm, Trish has been engaged in a broad spectrum of issues, ranging from tax matters and credit issues, to issues related to marine mammals and the marine environment. Ms. Nelson served on the Majority Staff of the Committee on Ways and Means from 1985-1993. Her principal responsibilities included acting as a liaison with House leadership offices for the Committee Chairman and senior Committee staff; analyzing the policy and procedural implications of Committee legislation; and assisting the Chairman with his work on the House Democratic Steering and Policy Committee. Prior to working for Ways and Means, Ms. Nelson worked as a legislative assistant for Representative Gerald D. Kleczka (D-WI), who had hired her initially as a staff member on his 1984 special election campaign. Ms. Nelson is on the Board of Directors for Wright Patman Congressional Federal Credit Union. Ms. Nelson earned her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 1992 while working for the Committee on Ways and Means. She also holds a B.A. in International Relations and French from Carroll College in Waukesha, Wisconsin. |
